Angaben aus dem Katalog der arabischen Papyri des Pennsylvania
University Museums (Philaldelphia) von Giorgio Levi Della Vida (1886-1967), Arabic Papyri in the University Museum in Philadelphia (Pennsylvania), Rom 1981, Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei, S. 163 (Eintrag Nr. 135): "Inv. E. 16264 S. 3rd-4th century A. H./9th-10th century A. D. Yellowish, thin parchment. 6 x 7.3 cm. Lower middle part of a sheet, the original size of which must have been ca. 12 x 15 cm. Nine broken lines are written in a miuch faded brown unk on both faces (the original page must jhave contained twenty-one). The lower margin, 1.7 cm. wide, is partialy preserved. From the Ellen W. Harrison Collection. Recto: Koran 8,67 (68) [turī]dū[na] - 72 (73) wa-[ʾanfusihim]. Verso: 8,75 (76) [š]aiʾin - 9,3 wa-ba[šširi]. The script is a small, archaic looking " Kūfic ". Medial ḥāʾ (jīm, khāʾ), reversed final yāʾ, seperate medial ʿayn, final nūn and ṣād with little rounded loop, all point towards a rather old age. The bend of the end of the alifs is inconspicuous, and the script is straight. No diacritical signs and only scanty and faded off vowel marks appear on this fragment. A circle in black ink, surrouned by dots, appears on recto line 2 as verse divider after verse 67; however , it seems to have been added later (on the verso, some letters have been written over with the same ink), and no division marks appear after 8,70 (recto line 7) and 9,2 (verso line 5). Before sūra 9, the number of its verses is given in red: ..... miʾatun wa-ṯalaṯuna ʾayātun " ..... one hundred and thirty verses " (in agreement with all sources, except for the Cairo edition, which has 129: see A. Spitaler, Die Verszählung des Koran, p. 38)."
