A. D. Yellowish, thin parchment. Three non contigious fragments from the same sheet. Dimensions of fragment a: 7.6 x 13.9 cm.; of b: 10.1 x 8.5 cm.; of c: 7.6 x 6.5 cm. The size of the original sheet was ca, 22 x 24 cm. Fragment a has preserved parts if the outer margin and fragment b parts of the inner and lower margins. The upper margin is lost. Written on both sides, sixteen lines to the page, in black-brown ink, much faded on the verso. From the Ellen W. Harrison Collection. Recto: Kor. 6,147 (148) ḏūʾ (sic!) bi-l[latī] - 158 (159) baʿḍu (second). The script is much alike that of nos. 16 and 17 in the Chicago Collection (see The Rise of the North Arabic Script, pp. 68-69 and Plate XXI). It is angular and stiff to a much greater extent than those of the preceding numbers. Diacritical signs are expressed by black dots, vowel marks by red ones. Three very short parallel strokes are used as verse dividers. The following number [Inv. E 16264 H] belongs to the same copy."
