raǧīmun [sic] - 228 ḫalaqa. Verso: 2,228 ʾarḥāmihinna
- ʾiṣlāḥan wa-(lahunna). The script is rather angular "Kufic", presenting a mixture of older and younger features. Some alifs bend to the right with their lower ends, some do not. The shaft of the ṭāʾ is curved on recto line 2 (in ṭ-ṭalāqa verse 227) and straight on recto line 4 (in wa-l-muṭallaqātu, verse 228). Final yāʾ is reversed, final qāf is doubly curved. Diaciritical signs are expressed by short and thick strokes, which in the letter thāʾ are placed one above the other. Vowels are marked in red: hamz and tashdīd are not marked. A golden pear-shaped verse divider appears after verse 227 (on recto line 8), which is 225 according to the Damascus, Mecca and Medina numbering (see A. Spitaler, Die Verszählung des Koran, p.33)."
