E. 16266. 5th-6th century A. H./11th-12th A. D. White, thin parchment. 13.3 X 11.5 cm. Full size sheet written on both faces in brownish ink, twenty lines to the page. All margins are well preserved (upper and lower: 2.2 cm.; outer: 2.1 cm.; inner: 1.4). From the Ellen W. Harrison Collection. Recto: Kor. 10,96 (94) to the end, and title of sūra 11. Verso: sūra 11, title (last two words) - 13 (16) افتراه. Tiny and minute Maghrabī script, very similar to no. 47 in Moritz's Arabic Paleography, no. 43 a in E. Tisserant's Specimina Codicum Orientalium (Bonn 1914), and no. 73 in the Vatican Library (see G. Levi Della Vida, Frammenti Coranici, p. 51, Plate 19), with vowels and orthographic signs in red. A circle filled with yellow and surrounded by another circle is used as ten-verse divider after sūra 10, 100 and 11,10: in the space between the two circles red and yellow dots alternate. The title of sūra 11, written in yellow 'Kūfic' letters, reads: عشرون اية (verso)هود مائة واحدى و 'Hūd. One hundred and twenty-one verses'. The numbering systems listed by A. Spitaler, Die Verszählung des Koran, p. 40 give 121, 122, or 123 verses to this sūra. On the outer margin, in front of the title, is a large circle filled with red and surrounded by another circle, with dots arranged as in ten-verse dividers."
